Spring Vacation Camp
Created for the new or returning camper who just can't wait for summer to get here, Camp Jewell hosts a fun packed vacation camp. This is a great opportunity to see the natural "green" return to the camp forest, enjoy new activities and meet counselors for the upcoming summer. The horses will have just arrived, so trail rides and lessons will be offered as an optional activity.
Spring Vacation Camp is the perfect opportunity for new campers to get to know the camp property, activity areas and members of the camp community before participating this summer.
Registration Information
Spring Vacation Camp starts at 4pm on Sunday, April 11th and ends at 6pm on Wednesday, April 14th. The cost is $285 per camper and must be paid in full at the time of registration. Completed health forms are required for new and returning campers. If camp is going to provide your child's transportation, please add an additional $35 (roundtrip).

Spring Ranch Welcome Weekend
Ranch Welcome Weekend is a time for returning ranchers to share their Ranch Camp experience with new and potential campers. The weekend starts on Friday evening at 6pm with a welcome activity (please note that dinner is not served on Friday night). On Saturday night campers enjoy a “cowboy campfire” that consists of making dinner, roasting s’mores and enjoying the new friendships made over the weekend. The weekend ends Sunday at 1pm. Snacks, meals, lodging, riding, and fun are all provided! Parents are welcome to attend the Open House on Sunday, April 18th from 2-4pm. Completed health forms are required for new and returning campers.
New Ranchers have the opportunity to meet some of our summer horses, ride on the trails, and learn what being a Rancher is all about. The weekend is more than just riding horses, however. All Ranchers enjoy many additional activities such as climbing Mt. Megiddo (our 40ft climbing tower), group games and campfires.

Fall Camp Reunion
A few months away from camp is too long for many campers to handle! Camp Jewell is a beautiful location to spend a fall weekend with counselors and friends. The brilliant colored leaf canopy, coupled with plenty of hot chocolate and fun activities, makes camp the place to be. New campers are welcome!
Fall camper reunion also includes a special bonus, campers have the opportunity to participate and enjoy camp’s Halloween Harvest Festival that takes place on the Saturday evening of their stay. Imagine cabins decorated as a pumpkin patch, circus tent, or superhero hideout! Enjoy all that the festival has to offer, including wagon rides, Frankenstein’s Café, haunted trails, campfires, trick-or-treating, and pumpkin carving! Parents are welcome to bring the rest of the family up for the Halloween Harvest Festival that evening. Completed health forms are required for new and returning campers.

Fall Ranch Reunion
Fall is a perfect time to be riding on a horse at camp! Imagine the crisp fall weather coupled with hot chocolate, brightly colored forests, and campfires among camp friends. This weekend provides the perfect send-off for Montgomery, Splash, Savannah, Bailey, Tobi, and the rest of our horses that winter in Vermont.
The weekend is more than just riding horses, however. Across the lake, ranchers and summer campers alike get to participate in and enjoy camp’s Halloween Harvest Festival on Saturday. Campers help decorate a trick-or-treating cabin, eat at Frankenstein’s Café, and walk the haunted trail. The weekend ends with a Ranch vs. Main Camp Ultimate Capture the Flag on Sunday morning!
Registration Information
The weekend begins Friday, 6pm and ends Sunday at 1pm. Snacks, meals (except Friday night), lodging, riding, and fun are all provided! October 22-24, 2010. Cost: $185. Parents are welcome to attend the Halloween Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 23, from 4-9pm.

Winter Vacation Camp
Are you looking for something fun to do during February vacation? Do you miss camp and all your summer friends? Well, Winter Camp is the perfect program to do all of those things! Imagine snow tubing down the dining hall hill, snowshoeing to your cabin or cross-country skiing across the lake! See pictures!
During the week, you will have the opportunity to do all sorts of winter activities, including your choice of an all-day clinic. All-day clinics choices include:
- Downhill Skiing

- Winter Trekking (cross-country skiing, snow shoeing and a biathalon)
- Winter Survival (fire and igloo making, animal tracking, outdoor cooking)
- Winter Sports (tubing, broomball, ice-golf)
- Winter Crafts (candle making, corn husk dolls, knitting)
Downhill Skiing at Butternut Basin
- A day of downhill skiing includes transportation to Butternut Basin Ski Resort (about 30 minutes away), an all-mountain lift ticket, staff supervision and lunch for $65. Participants may add ski or snowboard rentals for an additional $30.
- First-time skiers may sign up for a lesson package that includes a beginner area lift ticket, lessons and ski or snowboard rental for an additional $30.
- Ski ticket purchases, rentals and registrations are processed through Camp Jewell. Please add your package price to the total amount due on your Camp Jewell registration form. A completed Butternut liability form and a rental form (if needed) must accompany the Camp Jewell Winter Camp registration form. For more information about Butternut Basin, please click here.
